Very nice hotel all around. Lacking on service mostly due to the huge language barrier. Most of the time management will ensure there's at least one English speaking staff member in every customer facing department. But isn't always the case

Call it a perfect hide-away or a high class retreat resort. In any case this has been one of the most comfortable resorts I have ever been to. Not only that the rooms were perfectly in shape and that despite the fact that the resort has already been opened for guests for 14 years. It has been the excellent service and the savoir-fare of food and drinks which, in my point of view, makes the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay to a leading first class holiday resort. If you should have the possibility to take an aperitif (or of course a digestif) mixed for you by Salih Yildiz at the Hotel bar you’ll definitely know what I’m talking about. Culinary highlight are served one floor beneath the hotel building: In Saigon restaurant. Thanks again to Mehmet Gazezoglu who has not only introduced me to the finest sushi specialities but also to the excellent quality of local Turkish rosé and red vines. I felt so deeply in love with the beautiful glasses they serve the vine with that Mr Gazezoglu helped me to buy these glasses in Bodrum to take them with me as “souvenir” so that I will always be reminded of the unforgettable holidays I had in Bodrum when I have a glass of vine. :)

Rooms are clean, spacious and modern.
The hotel has a problem in the AC as it is quite hot inside
Staff are friendly and helpful
Food is not the best turkish food but I enjoyed it
