Unfortunately we went during Ramadan and there were a lot of drunk locals vomiting in pools and really taking full advantage of the all inclusive which made the stay quite unpleasant. This place has a lot of stairs the pools leave a lot to be desired, both beaches are not all that. However, I cannot fault any member of staff although the bar staff did seem to gravitate towards locals more than foreign visitors but this is understandable because they understand their own culture better than that of the variety of guests from a multitude of different countries.

Great time in this hotel. The beach is a bit small but the garden is huge so it is easy to find a place. The restaurants are nice, there is a great choice of food. Be careful for the choice of the room, some are very noisy.

Nothing is Royal about the 'Royal Asarlik resort
This might be a 5 stars hotel during the 70's but in 2018 it became 2 stars also there is a lack of labor in F&B*, housekeeping and maintenance departments
Negative points:
- toilet smells like mold, 1 used napkin roll was there, shampoo and soap are missing, sink stand is rusty, dirty and rotten and shower curtain glass doesn't close properly
- Floor and tops are dusty (no cleaning under the bed)
- A living snail was on the table in our room
- Mini bar is extra poor for a Ultra All inclusive basis, only 2 bottles of water and 1 soda was in it. The fridge was frozen from inside
- Bedsheets and towels came with stains of make up, rust and body juices
- The double bed itself is very small (160cm or 150cm in width)
- Common areas always dirty (dead cockroach was laying in front of our room door and stayed there for 2 days)
- Restaurant buffet is very poor, tables are always sticky and even the chairs also floor is almost always dirty and sticky because no one is there to clean it
- All trolleys don't look clean and are very old
- Some of the supposed clean plates and cutlery from the buffet smells bad
- Panorama bar smells like mold, staff throw water on the floor and a bartender was smoking behind the bar

Good we came as a bunch of guys scuba diving rather than me and my wife. Unclean and very old rooms. Bathroom needs maintenance (had to have the janitor fix the toilet 3 different times). Food is less than average. Pool and beach are small. What's "Royal" about this place?!
