My first stay at Artefes goes back to 2004. Since then, I have had the pleasure of being their guest 5 times. Its a beautiful - conveniently and centrally located boutique hotel with courteous, competent and professional staff and nice rooms to suit all budgets. The morning breakfast deserves special mention with a delicious variety for all taste buds in a very pleasant context. Its at the heart of Sultanahmet district, which itself is the heart of Istanbul's historical peninsula - and the main hub for tourists. Keep up the great work Artefes - in the world of boutique hotels, you lead the way. Looking forward to being your guest again in the near future.

Really like this hotel we stayed Artefes hotel for 13 days highly recomended.with all the facilities good n healthy breakfast .walk a few min to grand bazar 26/11-12/2018.

Great location, the rooms are pathetic, outdated and need to be updated. I had to request a new mattress as the springs were popping out of mine and the management was responsive. The TVs are small and 50 years old, fixed to the wall in an awkward way that you cannot watch them from your bed.

The location is the only positive thing about this place. This place is extremely overrated. Don't believe in the reviews on trip advisor or here. Hygene is terrible. Look at the photo of the towel with full of yellow stains. Room and the air con smells smoke. Other visitors were noisy. They have foreign cleaning ladies not speaking Turkish. the staff is extremely relactant to work or help. We checked in at 2pm but our rooms were not ready. They gave us the worst and smallest room even though they knew we have a kid. The guy was surprised when I asked for kid's bed. He asked around to other hotels for one. I think because we found a very nice cheap price through a Turkish site they didn't like us and gave the worst room.
